Also called the ‘lake of nine corners’, Naukuchiatal is a small hill station in Nainital district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The lake is 175 feet deep and is situated at 1220 m above sea level. It is surrounded by hills covered in trees and shrubs. With the dimensions of the lake measuring at 983 m, 693 m and 40.3 m of length, breadth and depth respectively, it is also the deepest lake in all of Nainital region.
